Pastor James was born on July 13, 1958 in San Francisco, CA. He is married to Gwendolyn and is the father of two sons: Jontae and Drake. In 1996, he began his ministry at Fremont Bible Fellowship in Fremont, California, under the direction of Pastor Horacio S. Jones. Dr. James established New Creation Bible Fellowship church in 2007.

About Dr. Kevin W. James

The focus of Dr. James’ ministry is to equip, and encourage the people of God through the preaching and teaching of the living Word of God;

in order that the mandate of Matthew 28:18-20 will be fulfilled, and God will be glorified in the lives of His people.
In 2011, Dr. James founded the Restoration Center a 501c3 nonprofit providing intervention, and outreach services to at-risk students on school campuses. Currently, Dr. James is the Western Regional Director of the National African American Fellowship of the Southern Baptist Convention and the Northern Region President of the California African American Fellowship of the California Southern Baptist Convention. In addition, he serves on the Executive Board of the Delta Valley Southern Baptist Association, is a member of the Tracy Unified School District Diversity & Equity, and Bullying Committees. Dr. James’ church is a service provider for the City of Tracy Mayor’s Community Youth Support Network. The Restoration Center annually hosts the Raise Your Game (RYG) Sports Camp which applies technical basketball instruction, intensive drill sequences and guided game situational play from NBA and FIBA players who have excelled at the highest level. Also, Dr. James served on the board of the Boys & Girls Club of Tracy, and Executive Board of the East Bay Baptist Association.
